Wealth creation – Rule 18 (Learn from the Experience of Those Ahead of you)

Wealth creation – Rule 18 (Learn from the Experience of Those
Ahead of you)
If you must create wealth then you should learn from the experience of those ahead of  you. Have you ever wondered why some jobs require that you have a work experience  before accepting  your applications? It is simple. They believe if
you are experienced you can work effectively and efficiently. So many young graduates want to work in big companies
without first considering how experienced they are. Experience is vital that is why internship (graduate trainee) programmes are encouraged in most countries. You cannot start what you don’t  know and so if you must start then you must be able to learn from the experience of others. I believe it is not uncommon to say experience is the best teacher. But as a wise man who has the quest to create wealth you can learn from the expeience of others. Experience will make you avoid the pitfalls that those ahead of you couldn’t avoid and so places you in a better position to be like them or even become more successful than them.

Take for instance, that you know two persons who  produce as well as sell burger. And you happen to know that One of them failed while the other succeeded. If peradventure you intend producing and selling burger, the best thing to do is to interact with both of them asking the one that failed while he failed and also asking the one that succeeded why he succeeded. With a combination of their views which you acquired directly or indirectly you have positioned yourself  to avoid the mistakes the first one did that made him fail and also putting in place the strategies the second one did that made him succeed.
Food for Thought: “learning from the experience of others makes you a professional.”
